Donation & Services from Khun Sirasit Chengsuttha

We greatly appreciate Khun Sirasit's thoughfulness & generosity in giving us a big tin of chocolate wafer on March 26 afternoon.

Khun Sirasit recently ordained as a novice monk joining our child P (pls refer to our 24 March post) & had volunteered his services during the 1 week to our Home - sweeping, washing toilets & other chores.

He is still volunteering his services to us whenever he is free.
He also volunteered to assist the children in their maintenance work in digging soil from the stream & transporting the soil to a garden.

Thank you very much Khun Sirasit!

Community Service at a funeral wake at Wat Pah Ban Mai (WPBM)

Recently, the children performed community service for 3 nights at a funeral wake at WPBM.
They helped prepare drinks, served them with titbits, decorated, washed & cleaned up.
On cremation day, the children served breakfast, lunch & drinks, washed & cleared up.
They then joined the family in pulling the deceased's wake from temple to cremation grounds.
There the children helped to serve drinks, later cleared up.
As the deceased did not have a male family member, his mum requested for volunteers to ordain as novice monks for a week. One of our Children, P, 12 years old volunteered.
He held himself very well during the ordination ceremony & eased himself effortlessly as a good novice.
We were so proud of him!
The family was very grateful for the children’s help & support.
The children indeed have continuously “gave back” to their community, from Life till Death….

Dhamma Camp at Wat Pah Banmai @ Mae Hon Son, Thailand during Makha Bucha March 2015

Recently some of the children participated in a 5-day Dhamma Camp held at Wat Pah Ban Mai in conjunction with Makha Bucha 2015, joining other 100 children from neighbouring villages.
They learnt dhamma, chanting, meditation & participated in the activities eg group discussions on their ideal world which they later presented. They also shared on their experiences & learning.
Throughout the 5-day camp, the children helped out in the preparation & cooking of food, preparation of drinks, serving food & drinks, washing the utensils, cleaning up, throwing out garbage, among other chores.

One of our children presented brilliantly of her group's ideal world, fielding all questions with much confidence, poise, charm & wit.
We all were so proud of her!
